AC Slather is a beauty care business started by sisters Anna and Claire Cecere.  It all began in January of 2023, when Anna started to have a passion for beauty products.  Then, she had a thought- “There are so many people just like me who love shopping at Bath and Body Works, Sephora, Ulta Beauty, etc.  What if I could make these things and sell them? Not only would it be a fun job, but we could make money if we just put the time and effort into it!” So she ran into her room and started getting out materials and scents and anything she had on hand to start building this business.  Anna and Claire were confident, but a bit nervous for this journey.  Before AC Slather they were going to start a sandwich business called Crispwhich.  As you can imagine they had a lot of trial and error trying to figure out what products to sell, what prices to sell them for, how to source materials and more.  Anna and Claire then realized they had more passion for selling beauty products than sandwiches.  They grew stronger by watching Shark Tank, a show about entrepreneurs who invest in people's companies (and even met Shark Robert Herjavec in NYC!). They started to work on buying materials and making items. Soon enough, all of their friends were asking to buy their products! Originally this company was called A&C Beauty Care, but Anna and Claire thought that was too boring. One day, their mom had an idea, “What if you named your business AC Slather as a joke because it sounds just like a character from my childhood, AC Slater.”  The girls hesitated but then began to like the idea which is why to this very day, their company is called AC Slather. Anna enrolled in a summer camp that was all about entrepreneurs and businesses with her friend Madigan.  Once they became amazing at finance and marketing, Anna and Claire decided to hire her! They also hired their friend Ciana, who did another camp with Anna & Claire where they made beauty products.  This quickly became a dream team for their business! Soon Anna, Claire, Ciana, and Madigan all worked to become a cohesive unit and they set goals which they are determined to achieve! We had a very successful launch in September of 2023 at a business fair. We are hoping you will buy one of our products and if you do, we would like you to think about this; the product that you bought is more unique than an average beauty product. It was made from a whole lot of teamwork, perseverance, and determination by young women who want to make AC Slather a success!
